What: Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior

When: 14 meetings from late September through April 2008

Where: Calvin Church Fellowship Hall

Who: Girls ages 1st grade through 8th grade

Why: To help young girls grow the fruit of the Spirit so that the qualities of God’s Spirit
become written upon their hearts and lived out in their everyday experiences.

Cost: $25 (for the entire year) to help defray the costs of craft supplies.

GEMS Girls' Clubs is a relationship building club program created especially for girls! GEMS Clubs are offered in local churches all across the US and Canada

Girls in first through eighth or ninth grades are eligible for membership. In club, many fun and exciting things happen:
Learn how to apply the teachings of the Bible to your own life
Make creative crafts for yourself and others
Participate in service projects that really make a difference in other people’s lives
Find answers to many of the challenges that face girls today.

The purpose of GEMS Girls' Clubs is to bring girls into a living relationship with Jesus Christ. To help foster this all-important relationship between each girl and Christ, other relationships are nurtured as well - between girls and between girls and their counselor (leader).

Girls in clubs are organized into small groups with one leader or counselor for each group of six to eight girls. And it is through these small groups, and the interactions that take place in club that faith is nurtured and developed, and long lasting friendships are made.

The ministry of GEMS Girls' Clubs has been serving churches for over forty-four years. During these years, thousands of girls' lives have been changed forever. Today, there are more than 21,000 girls who are members of GEMS Girls' Clubs, with 5,200 women enthusiastically serving as their counselors and mentors.

The ministry is non-denominational with club participation in several different denominations and non-denominational churches throughout the United States and Canada.

The name GEMS Girls' Clubs is an acronym which stands for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior. It clearly identifies the purpose for which the ministry was created.
